Baja California is known for only a handful of things, but all of those things are fantastic. It’s beautiful beaches, which we’re sitting on as we took this photo, as well as its amazing marine wildlife. Both of those items are simply stellar which is why Baja makes such a fantastic and popular tourist destination. Here we are, sitting on a beautiful beach as horses go past and as we prepare for our trip to the amazing Espiritu Santo where we saw humpback whales, pilot whales and rays throwing themselves out of the water…all of this before going for a swim with some sea lions and having a nice ceviche lunch!
We started our journey in Baja and really had no idea what we were doing. We got on one bus and then another, we looked at eachother funny and and somehow continued to move forward. We actually arrived at this beach through the generosity of some nice Canadians we met. They invited us to spend time with them at their brother’s time share. It wasn’t exactly the Fiesta Americana Villas Los Cabos but it was comfortable and allowed us to explore far more of Southern Baja than we could have on our own.
IF YOU GO: Baja California is definitely worth a visit. It is easiest to fly into Cabo San Lucas, but definitely rent a car and take some day trips to some of the lesser visited cabos such as Cabo Pulmo.
