began his life on the beaches of South Florida before heading north for college.  A former rugby player and three time marathoner, Danny enjoys trail running and off road races.  A staple on the Washington, DC mid-day mall Ultimate frisbee pick up game, Danny is always looking for something to do outside.  He competes in adventure races and off road triathlons with his wife Jillian. After graduating from The George Washington University in Washington, DC, Danny worked as a business consultant for a Fortune 100 company before managing to save up enough money to travel the world with Jillian.  The two departed on their journey at the start of 2009 and didn’t return for 21 months.  Now Danny works in finance and aims to help others achieve the dream of long term travel.

Katherine

Katherine McKeon small picture Bioshas been traveling and camping since she was old enough to be strapped into a car seat.  After studying abroad in London, Rome, Quebec and Durban, Kathy graduated from Michigan State University with degrees in History and English.  She then moved to New York City to join Teach for America and entered the wonderful, chaotic and unpredictable world of teaching.   She has since worked in education and green building (where did that come from?) in four continents and will soon be moving on to a fifth.  She and her boyfriend are currently living in Cape Town, learning to drive on the wrong side of the road and having a lekker time exploring Africa.  Now Southeast Asia is a-calling and Kathy is packing up for another move.   Kathy is the writer of Beyond Disney Travel Tips, a blog where she shares her travel stories, pictures and occasionally even manages to give a bit of decent travel advice.  She believes travel is what you make of it, and should first and foremost be fun.  You can follow Kathy on Facebook and Twitter.
