It was our last day on our salar trip in Bolivia. It was freezing cold outside and we were the first group to arrive at the hot springs. They weren’t very deep, but they were hot. Quickly (and I mean quickly, it was freezing) changing into our bathing suits, we immersed ourselves in the water and stayed. Yup, we stayed until that spring got so crowded with bodies that we couldn’t move. The problem wasn’t the getting in, it was the getting out. Nimbly we dressed as quickly as we could and ran inside the shelter for breakfast. A new kind of polar bear swim I guess…

@Nishad- Thanks!
@Laura- Have fun, and remember to take lip balm! 24 hrs on the salt flats and my lips were bleeding… 🙁
