Jillian’s Clothes

From top to bottom here’s what Jillian is wearing around the world: (click on the review tag to see what she thinks!)

  • Tops
    • Mountain Hardware Duration T – This versatile short sleeve is both stylish and wicking…can’t ask anymore from a woman’s T-shirts!
    • ExOfficio Women’s Dryflylite Shirt – As cute as its gonna get for a travel shirt. It’s lightweight, quick drying, moisture wicking and sun blocking.
    • Ex Officio ExO Dri Pointelle V Shirt (1) – This woman’s short sleeve is moisture wicking, cute, and breathable! hooray! review
    • Nike DriFit Tshirt and Tank – Traded an ExOfficio for these Nike T-shirts because of style, color and wicking properties.
    • *Ex Officio Women’s Barrier Insect Shield Long Sleeve hoodie– obviously because its purple i love it, but its also comfy and has a very modern cut, so its great all around!
  • Bottoms
    • Columbia Sportswear Silver Ridge III Capri – Women’s (1) – cute, functional and comfortable although the zipper has broken on these things in the same place twice… but I’ve had them forever and love them!
    • *ExOfficio Insect Shield Convertible Pant– These are the best i’ve seen in convertible pants. They actually fit and feel like real pants, not some weird parachute material that swishes too much. They feel soft, and did I mention the fit? Perfect for a safari or a long, dusty bus ride.
    • Royal Robbin’s Global Traveler Skirt- Needed something a bit longer and more conservative as we move towards northern africa and central asia.  This fits the bill and actually its not too horribly looking.  Two long zippers on the side actually allow the fabric to breath and its comfortable to boot!
  • Feet
    • Chaco Women’s ZX/1 Sandal – More stylish than Danny’s Chaco’s but just as durable. I wear them every day and even in the shower at icky hostels!  review
    • Vasque Breeze XCR Low- Womens – loving these more and more as time goes on. in fact, I bought a new pair just for Africa.
  • Everything Else
    • The North Face Spire 40 Pack – 2380cu in
      (women’s)
      – downsized to something smaller with a bottom opening for the rest of the trip.  Too new to review yet!
    • Sierra Designs Hurricane Jacket – Although we loved the REI one jacket, it wasn’t what we needed to combat the weather.  We opted to exchange the fleece lined REI jackets for a rain coat and a regular fleece.

Previously used and reviewed:

  • Jillian's PackGregory Women’s Jade 50 Backpack – This holds all of my stuff. Specially designed for the curves of a woman to put the weight in the right spots. Slightly smaller than Danny’s pack but otherwise it is basically the same thing. review
  • The North Face, Horizon Women’s Convertible Pants – I finally broke down and bought convertible pants. They’re ugly, but they’re practical.
