Schloss Neuschwanstein, outside of Munich, is probably the stereotype of every little girl’s dream castle. That’s mostly thanks to Disney, but without a doubt it’s our modern ideal of a castle. We showed up on a dreary, rainy, foggy day, so frankly our pictures are awful. Once inside, no photography was allowed and we spent our time giggling at our tour guide who would have been the perfect count dracula. There’s no princess in the tower, but its about the best photo we have from that day.
I'm an adventurer and a fun loving spirit. I'll do almost anything once for the experience, well within reason. I love mountain biking, hiking and swimming. I compete in adventure races, but I'm also a complete nerd and love to read. I try to live my life without regrets, in the words of Ferris Bueller, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. "
It was cloudy when we visited too 🙁 but it was still easy to imagine how fairy tales began when looking out across that valley! It’s a beautiful area.
@Gillian- It was beautiful, despite the rain. I felt like it was a scene out of beauty and the beast as we climbed towards the bridge!
