Itinerary

Where are we going?  Where have we gone?

A large part of our trip is not having a set itinerary.  We have a general plan for getting around the world, but at this point no dates or transportation booked.  We plan about two or three weeks in advance, but try to keep our itinerary flexible in case something pops up!

Very General Travel Plan:

March/April 2009: Mexico

April-June 2009: Central America; to learn spanish, kitesurfing, windsufring, and maybe get PADI certified

July-December 2010: South America

January-April 2010: Africa, the part with giraffes and gorillas

April- June 2010: Europe

July 2010- September 2010: Silk Road to Asia

October- January 2011: SE Asia

I am so envious of all the time you guys put aside for Central and South America! We are soon leaving the continent, and often say we could easy spend a year here alone. Good travels to you!

    Hi, there!

Made a new new friend in Laos who invited me to stay with her if I could make the jump from Japan this summer. Who knows? I keep getting notices from a $2.1 million sweepstakes that if I respond and my number is picked, I’m a sure winner!

I love that stuff. Anyway, anything possible. But, just in case, any interest in staying with a 60-year-old deaf and almost blind depleted uranium activist who has lived all around Indonesia? Most impressive to me is that she and Indian ecologist and activist Vandana Shiva, who is world renown, were close friends though it’s been a few years. Shiva’s book, “Biopiracy: The Plunder of Nature and Knowledge” is one I think everybody should read.

I’m impressed that Melody can pace Shiva’s thinking at the kitchen table. Wow.

    Love,

    Aunt Debbie

    Hi Jillian and Danny,

Your experiences are fantastic and I really do hope that you are planning to write a book. I am sure it would be a best seller, especially for people with your interests. I really enjoy your emails and enjoy and read each one over and over along with all your incredible details.
    All my love, Grandma Alma

Also, I love the website name. Exactly how I feel at times!
