Purging our worldly possessions…

February 17, 2009 By Jillian

After a long night of drinking and trying to give away remaining paperbacks, wine glasses and other assorted items, we drove to Philly Monday with another load of stuff. While moving out in stages has its advantages- mainly that we have time to go through our stuff- I am definitely sick and tired of packing boxes and loading the car. At this point whatever doesn’t fit in our caravan on the 28th is being donated and/or sold.

Now that we’re less than 2 weeks away, we’ve begun to make the final purchases for the trip. More towels, packcovers and some nifty no-water soap and we’re almost done. I’m interested to see what we’ll get rid of by month 3 on the trip.

Here’s what the official to do list still looks like:

  • Official Website Roll-Out (yay!)
  • Sell furniture (dining room, shelving unit, couch, bed, dresser)
  • Finish packing
  • Pray that the computer arrives before Feb.28th (we ordered the new Asus EEE 1000HE!)
  • Change of address forms
  • Website updates (yes, we are still working on it!)
  • Return duplicate gear/buy the remaining items on our list
  • Say good bye and hit the road!

About Jillian

I'm an adventurer and a fun loving spirit. I'll do almost anything once for the experience, well within reason. I love mountain biking, hiking and swimming. I compete in adventure races, but I'm also a complete nerd and love to read. I try to live my life without regrets, in the words of Ferris Bueller, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. "

    hi,

thumbs up! we are sure you will never regret the decision, no matter what others may say…

if you decide to stop by us, please do try to let us know well in advance – we are thinking about moving somewhere else in Europe in the next couple of month (do not know where exactly yet), and we would not like to make you change your plans shortly if we do move out.

No matter where we land, you are surely welcome 馃檪

    your CS Emi & Tom
