Clothesline – It seems silly to write a review of a clothesline, even to carry one around for that matter. Having this with us has been invaluable. It is able to stretch between objects about 10 feet or less apart and easily adjusts without a problem, making it extremely versatile. The fact that it rolls into its own pouch (part of the line so it cannot be lost) and is lightweight makes carrying it a non-issue. We have used this in hotel rooms and outdoors on many occasions.
Pocket Soap – The lack of soap suds from these things often causes us to use more conventional laundry soaps when they are available. That being said, when we [ad#reviews] do use these for washing clothing in the sing they get the job done and they get the job done well. Their compact size makes them a must have in our packs as they take up no additional space and are a necessity when we’ve run out of underwear.
Pack Cover – when hiking through the Honduran jungle, during rainy season, with this cover on my back, the only stuff inside that got wet were the things closest to my back…and that was because of my own sweat. These covers do not allow H2O to pass but stop short of complete H2O proofing on account of no coverage on the backside. More importantly, after two months of daily use (sliding these things on buses and and in and out of storage units) several holes have begun to appear and the covers do need to be replaced. The fabric is light weight and works really well for water resistance.
Compression Sacks– People always seem amazed when they see our sacks and all the clothes they hold. Not only do these sacks put twice the clothing into half the space but they also help to keep us organized…one for clean clothes and one for dirty. The seams are sewn super strong but can give way with heavy use over a long time but no matter…this is a product we simply could not live without. Makes packing the pack (check out the video https://ishouldlogoff.wpengine.com/gear/) a breeze and enables me to squeeze in a few extra pairs of my favorite undies!
