FAO Schwartz in New York City is every kid’s dream.  A toy store of such incredible size that they just make all the toys extra big to fill the space.  It isn’t every day that we’re able to find flights to New York, but when we do, we make good use of it and give a visit to FAO Schwartz if we can.  Yes, this is the Piano that Tom Hanks played on all those years ago and somehow it (or one just like it) is still there for people copy the movie.

The interesting thing to me is just how popular this piano is all these years later.  A city like New York has tons of things for people to see and do yet this Piano had two professional dancers and a line down the hall and around the corner.  Not only were big kids interested but but someone there was celebrating their 6^th birthday as well.  Only in New York.

IF YOU GO:  With three airports, two of which are international hubs, and the largest train station in North America, New York City really is very easy to visit.  Once you get to town, just don’t try and pack it all in….instead just go out for a slice (or 3) of pizza and enjoy the trip.
